Airport:

(1) You can take a bus with the direction "Montevideo" which will drop you only 5 blocks from here. The price is about U$S 1.
(2) You can also take a cab or a "remise," which is more of a luxury car that will cost you about 500 pesos. They are cream colored cars that stop at the taxi stands outside. (Both options are more comfortable but at the same time more expensive.).

Bus Terminal:

 You've got three options:
(1) Take the local buses 180,187 or 188 heading to "Ciudad Vieja" U$S 0,50 approx ) you will find the bus stop in the front part of the terminal. As soon as you get to 18 de Julio avenue corner Santiago de Chile (in front of the Governmental Palace) you are just a block away from the hostel.
(2) You may also take a cab for U$S 2 approximately. (3) You can try just walk there, it's about 22 blocks away!

Puerto: (1) Your best option is to take a cab which will cost around U$S 2.5.

Cacciola Tips
Is the most economic option, departing from “El Tigre” and traveling by boat till the uruguayan city Carmelo. Then a 3 hour bus trip is left to finally get to Montevideo.

Buses Tips
During night time you can sleep in the bed-seats of every company. The custom´s stop is something quick done by the same company, so you can go on sleeping or either get down some minutes to visit the free shop.

Ferry Tips

Both, the Tigre and Carmelo deserve your attention for a couple of hours. The boat trip goes through the Delta del Tigre where you can find loads of small islands, ideal for having a beer in the deck while you see the sunset!
